I’ve mentioned before: I hate marketing. I’m just not made for it. I can consume media all day long. My Outlast YouTube playlist to sleep to proves it. But creating content? Building a following? You ask too much of me internet!
Still, this week I focused up on some heavy edits in response to feedback about Ace of Wands and getting my socials back up and running. Much as I hate to admit it, the number one thing behind getting a social media following is consistency, which is something I’ve always struggled with. I can’t commit to making one post a day across every social, I’m just not built for that, but I think I can tentatively plan at least one every other day on most of the platforms.
I’m also fighting the siren call of distraction. Especially with deadlines creeping in around me. Sure, that new fun idea about a story seems interesting now. It’s a trap. I know it. I need to get major editing done first before I start committing to new things. Especially new series.
This is gonna be a pretty short post today. I’m exhausted from a rough week in the office, but if I’m consistent with nothing else in this writing journey, it;s going to be this blog. Especially now that I’ve gotten some tech issues resolved to get my personal laptop back up and running again.
